Junior year is said to be the hardest year of your high
school career and right now I’m realizing it’s really true. We are all just
working towards graduation and going off on our own. Whether our plan is
college, military, working or traveling we all have a plan (or working on it)
for when we get out. Everyone thinks that you have to go to college after high
school but that’s far from true. My plan personally is to go to college to
become a teacher but there are so many things you can do. It all depends on who
you are and where you want to go in life.
If you do choose the path of college, right now you are
freaking out about having everything you need to apply to colleges and being
accepted. The thought of going off on your own to a big school and deciding
what you want to do with your life can be very stressful. Trust me, I’m trying
to figure out what classes I need to take for senior year so I can be accepted
into college and it’s really hard. I’m not going to say you shouldn’t worry
about it because it is a very big decision, but you don’t need to completely
stress yourself out over it. You will be able to figure everything out, you
just may take longer than others. Just do your research, figure out what you
want, make sure you know what you need to do and you will be successful.
If you choose to do something other than college, that’s
great too. For some people, college really isn’t for them. Some people want to
travel the world before they go to college. Others want to go into the
military. There are even some people who just want to work right out of school.
I have friends who want to do so many different things and it’s great.
No matter what you choose for a path, as long as it’s what
you want and makes you happy, it’s a great decision. We are all going off on
our separate ways and I hope you all figure out what path that is.
