Nailed it!

Growing up I had a really bad habit of biting my nails. I would chew on them any chance I got whether I was nervous or just bored. My nails were reduced to nubs and I always had painful hangnails. I never liked biting my nails but it was a habit I couldn’t break. These last few years though, I have finally been able to break the habit and my nails look great. I have also figured out a new talent of mine.
A few years ago I thought of the great idea of painting my nails to stop biting them. My grandma always wished I would stop and after she passed away I felt I owed it to her to try and stop. So I started out just plain painting my nails one color but along the years I have done many cool and fun designs. Since I have the designs on my nails I don’t want to bite my nails and mess them up. So it helped me stop. Hopefully this helps inspire people to think outside the box and figure out different ways to break their own bad habits. Whatever habit you may have there is some creative or weird way to break it. No matter how weird it seems, if it works you have to at least try it.
I also want to help inspire people to follow their passions and talents. I want to be able to find other girls who love to do their nails like me.  I love doing French tips and trying all kinds of tricks I see on different videos and Pinterest. I have tried ombre where you put different colors on a sponge and dab it on your nail to make an ombre pattern. I also used smaller brushes to make different lines on my nails to create a tiger look. When there were designs I couldn’t do myself or I just wanted to do something special, I went and got my nails done at a nail salon. I got palm trees over ombre on my thumbs once while on vacation. I got flowers on my thumbs another time to celebrate school getting out. Whatever I did, I always tried to put all of my creativity into what I designed. It always made me happy to get the praise from people about my nails. It’s always fun to show your creativity in any way you want. Go ahead and do whatever you feel helps you express yourself.

  2. I really enjoyed this post because you brought your own experience to help others. I always hate reading things at school with fake scenarios. I think you are on the right path by grabbing topics people our age are interested in. Are there any other habits that you have broken/started whether good or bad more recently, like when it comes to school? Any way Great job so far! :)
